CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston softball games scheduled for Sat., April 23 and Sun., April 24 have been moved up a day due to rain forecasted on Sun., April 24. The Golden Eagles will face Minnesota State University Moorhead Fri., April 22 at 2 and 4 p.m. and Northern State University Sat., April 23 at 1 and 3 p.m.
The games will mark the last four games for the Golden Eagles on the 2016 season. UMC is 9-37 on the season and 3-23 in NSIC play. The Golden Eagles are one win away from the 10-win mark and two wins away from tying the program record for wins, which is 11.
MSU Moorhead enters the weekend with a 15-27 mark overall and 8-18 record in the NSIC. The Dragons are led by Morgan Nybo, who is hitting .313 on the season. The Dragons are hitting just .230 on the season.
In the circle, Nybo leads the team with a 4-9 mark and a 2.77 ERA in 86 innings pitched.
Northern State comes into the weekend with a 21-29 record on the season. The Wolves are 11-15 in the NSIC. The Wolves are led by Kelsey Gale, who is hitting .347 on the season with 24 runs scored, nine doubles, three home runs and 14 RBI's. Northern State is hitting .247 on the season.
