CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston softball team will host University of Minnesota Duluth at 1 and 3 p.m. April 14 at UMC Softball Field. The games will end a six-game home stand for the Golden Eagles.

UMC enters Tuesday with a 4-32 (0-18 NSIC) mark as they look to snap an 18-game losing streak. The Golden Eagles have six losses by three or less runs during that time, as they have come close. UMC has been led on the season by Victoria Bayliss (Fr., OF, West Bloomfield, Mich./Elementary Education), who has had an outstanding freshman year, hitting .378 with 21 runs scored, nine doubles, two triples and 10 runs batted in (RBI's). Allison Foley (Jr., SS, Lockport, Ill./Accounting) has also had a strong season, hitting .333 with 20 runs scored, six doubles, four home runs and 17 RBI's.

In the circle, Jordyn Derflinger (Jr., RHP/OF, Henderson, Nev./Elementary Education) leads the team with a 1-8 mark and a 6.20 earned runs average (ERA) in 49.2 innings pitched. Bailey Braatz (So., RHP, Buffalo, Minn./Sports and Rec Management) comes in with a 2-13 mark and a 6.56 ERA.

Minnesota Duluth enters Tuesday with a 24-17 (8-10 NSIC) mark. The Bulldogs split with Southwest Minnesota State University and University of Sioux Falls on the weekend. UMD is led by Hannah Schmoll, who is hitting .400 with 36 runs scored, one home run and 11 RBI's. Becky Smith comes in with a .385 average, 30 runs scored, 17 doubles, 10 home runs and 45 RBI's.

In the circle, UMD has been led by Cayli Sadler, who is 13-9 with a 2.90 ERA in 142. innings pitched, while Sam
Hartmann is 11-8 with a 3.35 ERA in 121.1 innings pitched.
