CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston softball team's games against Bemidji State University, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) openers for both schools, have been relocated to Bemidji, Minn. due to inclement weather in Crookston Monday and field conditions. The Golden Eagles and Beavers will play at Chet Anderson Stadium, BSU's football stadium on field turf, at 1 and 3 p.m. Tues., March 24. The games remain home games for the Golden Eagles. Minnesota Crookston comes in with a 4-14 mark overall after finishing non-conference play last week during their Spring Break trip in Tuscon, Ariz. The Golden Eagles have already surpassed their win total from last season. UMC has been led during the 2015 season by Victoria Bayliss (Fr., OF, West Bloomfield, Mich./Elementary Education). Bayliss is hitting .452 with 10 runs scored, nine runs batted in (RBI's), six doubles and one triple. In addition to Bayliss, Allison Foley (Jr., SS, Lockport, Ill./Accounting) is hitting .431 with 14 runs scored and eight RBI's. In the circle, Jordyn Derflinger (Jr., RHP, Henderson, Nev./Elementary Edcuation) comes in with a 5.25 earned runs average (ERA) in 26.2 innings pitched with five starts. In addition, Bailey Braatz (So., RHP, Buffalo, Minn./Sports and Rec Management) is 2-5 with a 6.25 ERA in 43.2 innings pitched. Bemidji State comes into Tuesday with a 9-7 mark overall. The Beavers went 7-5 during their Spring Break trip in Tuscon, Ariz. The Beavers have been led by Angie Roberts, who is hitting .424 with 14 runs scored and two RBI's. Lyndsey Peterson comes in with a .420 batting average, 10 runs scored and three RBI's.
In the circle for BSU, Jessica Yost leads the way with a 6-2 mark and a 2.31 ERA in 42.1 innings pitched. Allison Roberts is 2-1 with a 4.60 ERA in 24.1 innings pitched.
