(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Softball team hosted Wayne State today in a blustery Sunday double-header. The Wildcats took game one 11-3 and shut out the Golden Eagles 8-0 in game two.
The Golden Eagles were led on the day by
Hilary Brown (OF, Jr, Mosinee, Wis.),
Gina Delisa (C, Fr, College Station, Texas), and
Shelby Hollinger (UT, Fr, Neudorf, Saskatchewan). The trio each collected two hits on the day and totaled six of the teams 10 total hits. Delis also drove in two of the team's three runs.
The Golden Eagles host Valley City State on Tuesday, April 17 at the UMC Softball Field. Game time is set for 3 p.m. The team then travels to Concordia- St. Paul on Saturday, April 21 and St. Cloud State on Sunday, April 22 to close out the NSIC regular season. UMC's season concludes on Tuesday, April 24 when the team travels to Valley City State for a non-conference double-header.
