Golden Eagle Hunt Seat Team Heads to UW-River Falls for Important Shows

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Hunt Seat Equestrian team travels to River Falls, Wis. for important shows hosted by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Saturday, February 18 and Sunday, February 19. Competitions begin at 1 p.m. and 9 a.m. respectively and will be the final regular season shows for U of M, Crookston.

The Golden Eagles last competed on February 4-5 at the University of Minnesota. U of M, Crookston is out of the running to win their third straight regional title but find themselves in a solid second place and is looking to get as many riders qualified as possible for the Individual Regional Championships hosted by the University of Minnesota on Saturday, February 25.

There are several near-qualifiers with a good shot to get qualified for the Regional Championships. Jessica Charles (Jr, Belgrade Lakes, Maine) (double qualifier in Novice Equitation on the Flat and Over Fences), Angela Peterson (Jr, Detroit Lakes, Minn.) (Novice Equitation Over Fences), Annalee Sundin (So, Deer River, Minn.) (Walk-Trot) and Melanie Rodriguez (Jr, Chanhassen, Minn.) (Walk Trot Canter) have already qualified. Golden Eagle Head Coach Brooke Leininger also expects Samantha Kramer (Fr, Corcoran, Minn.) (Walk Trot) and Chelsea Roteman (So, Owatonna, Minn.) (Open Equitation on the Flat and Over Fences) to qualify.
