Crookston, Minn. - The Golden Eagles are Jamestown bound for this weekend's Jimmie Invitational. The Golden Eagles have not competed in the Jimmie Invitational since 2023, where they finished 7th out of 11 competing teams. It has been an incredible start to the season for the University of Minnesota Crookston, finishing sixth at the Augustana Twilight and 12th at the Roy Griak Invitational.

The Natalie's have been leading the way for the Golden Eagles, with Natalie Scharenbroch (Fr., Marshfield, Wis.) crossing the finish line first for the Golden Eagles at the Augustana Twilight and second at the Roy Griak Invitational and Natalie Wood (R-jr., Big Timber, Mont.) being the first Golden Eagle to finish at the Roy Griak Invitational and second at the Augustana Twilight. Morgan Shaw (Sr., Redmond, Ore.) has been as consistent as ever, finishing both races as the third Golden Eagle across the finish line. Amber Collins (So., Deer Creek, Minn.) has finished fourth at the Augustana Twilight and fifth at the Roy Griak Invitational for the Golden Eagles and Lindsay Kahn (Fr., Stetsonville, Wis.) has finished fifth at the Augustana Twilight and fourth at the Roy Griak Invitational.

The Golden Eagles have had a very consistent top five thus far, a good sign as they head into the final two regular season races of the fall. The women's cross country meet is set for this Friday, October 2nd at 5:15 p.m. in Jamestown, North Dakota. Following this weekend's meet, the Golden Eagles have the Warrior Invitational on October 23rd, the NSIC Championship on November 7th, the NCAA Regional Championships on November 21st, and are hoping to have their first NCAA National Championships appearance on December 4th.
