Jamestown, N.D. - The Golden Eagles have set a new record for their highest finish in program history, placing third at the Jimmie Invitational, besting their previous high of fourth at the Augustana Twilight in 2025. The Golden Eagles finished ahead of three teams, all three being from the NSIC. The only NSIC team ahead of the University of Minnesota Crookston was the University of Jamestown.

Natalie Wood (R-Jr., Big Timber, Mont.) was the first Golden Eagle to cross the finish line, placing 12th out of 64 with a final time of 22:59. Natalie Scharenbroch (Fr., Marshfield, Wis.) was next for the Golden Eagles, placing 14th with a final time of 23:10. Rivyn Dipadova (So., Soldiers Grove, Wis.) placed 50th with a time of 26:31. The Golden Eagles have been fantastic throughout the season, and this race shows that and what their future holds. They have just one last race in the 2026 regular season, that will be the Warrior Invitational on October 23rd at 2 p.m. in West Salem, Wisconsin. Following that, the Golden Eagles will have two more weeks off before heading to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the NSIC Championships.
