DOVER, Del. - The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian team fell 15-4 to Delaware State University Friday, September 25 at Redstone Ranch.

The Golden Eagles fell to 0-2 in the NCEA with Friday's loss. Delaware State improved to 1-1.

Minnesota Crookston won two points in Flat. The Golden Eagles were led by an 82 on Cali, as Belle Syrett (Sr., Winnipeg, Manitoba) picked up a point over Emma Claire Johnson. Julianne Lurie (So., Seminole, Fla.) earned an 81-80 win on Carl. Maggie Lawler (So., Algonquin, Ill.) had the high score for the team with an 83 but fell 88-83. Harlow Burris (Fr., Plymouth, Minn.) scored an 80 on Quinn.

In Fences, Delaware State earned the 5-0 win. The Golden Eagles were led by Lurie with an 82 on Gino.

In Horsemanship, the Golden Eagles secured a point as McKenna Hooyer (Sr., Rock Rapids, Iowa) defeated Kirsten Buckwalter 71-64 on Ellie May. Siara Mosby (Jr., Bremerton, Wash.) had the high score for Minnesota Crookston with a 72.5 in a loss.

In Reining, Arabella Clark (Fr., Hesperia, Calif._ picked up a 68.5 win on Xena. Micah Fohrman (Fr., Fort Collins, Colo.) and Zoey Case (Fr., Canton, Minn.) had narrow losses in Reining.

The Golden Eagles face South Dakota State University Saturday, October 10 in Brookings, S.D.
