WACO, TEXAS - The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian team had two riders recognized by the NCEA as Ariat All-America honorees as announced Tuesday. The pair are the first two All-Americans in equestrian for the Golden Eagles. Emma Mutnansky (So., Cass Lake, Minn.) was named NCEA Second Team Ariat All-America in Horsemanship, while Maggie Lawler (Fr., Algonquin, Ill.) was selected as NCEA Honorable Mention Ariat All-America in Flat after outstanding seasons for the Golden Eagles.
Mutnansky had a 6-2 mark in NCEA competition, with three MOP honors, and an average score of 75.9 in Horsemanship. She was ECAC Horsemanship Rider of the Year and was named ECAC All-Conference. Mutnansky was a three-time ECAC Horsemanship Rider of the Week and the October ECAC Horsemanship Rider of the Month.
Lawler had an outstanding freshman season in Flat. She had a career-best month in February, earning two MOP honors and ECAC Flat Rider of the Month. Lawler earned Flat Rider of the Week and Fences Rider of the Week accolades in February. She had five MOP accolades overall. Lawler picked up six wins in Flat as a freshman. She was ECAC All-Tournament in Fences and ECAC All-Conference in Flat.
