Minnesota Crookston Has Five Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-District Honors for At-Large Sports

GREENWOOD, IND. - The University of Minnesota Crookston men's and women's golf teams had five individuals named to the Academic All-District Team presented by CSC for at-large sports. The Golden Eagles have had 26 student-athletes named to Academic All-District Teams for the 2025-26 season. The mark is a record number of Academic All-District honorees for Minnesota Crookston.

Holdyn Evjen and Andrew Wilhelm represented the men's golf team, while Lauren Bowyer, Ainsley McLain, and Anaka Lysne represented the women's golf team. Lysne meets the qualifications to move on to the Academic All-America ballot, the first Golden Eagle to advance to the Academic All-America ballot for the 2025-26 season.

Evjen holds a 3.75 cumulative GPA in finance. He held a 76.2 scoring average as a sophomore for the men's golf team. Wilhelm holds a 3.96 cumulative GPA in finance. Bowyer finished her academic career with a 3.83 GPA in health management. She had an 84.4 scoring average as a senior. McLain holds a 3.77 cumulative GPA in sport and recreation management. She finished the season with an 83.3 scoring average. Lysne sits as the top women's golfer in program history, as a  back-to-back All-NSIC First Team pick, and a three-time All-NSIC honoree. She finished her career with a 3.87 GPA in sport and recreation management. Lysne advances for consideration for Academic All-America. . First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 7, 2026. 

Eligible nominees for men's and women's must have been in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's TEAM SCORING events OR in the lineup at the conference championship tournament. 

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
