Mayetta, Kan. - Golden Eagles Men's Golf finished day one, which consisted of rounds one and two, in last place. While the team's first day was not great, they got a top 20 performance from Andrew Wilhelm (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) through the first day as he sits in 19th.
Central Oklahoma is running away with the tournament heading into the third round, shooting six under par, while second place Washburn is shooting two over par. Myles Tarvin of Washburn leads all players at the Firekeeper Open, sitting at seven under par. Right on his tail is Rhett Hughes of Central Oklahoma at six under.Â
Andrew Wilhelm is the leader for the Golden Eagles, currently sitting at two over par and in 19th place. Marc Bofarull Balleste (Jr., Barcelona, Spain) is at 11 over par in 82nd, and Connor Czirjak (Jr., Calgary, Alberta) is in 90th at 14 over.Â
Rounding out the rest of the Golden Eagles are: Gannon Walsh (Sr., Belgrade, Minn.) in 95th at 16 over par, Jaime Martinez Guimon (Fr., Getxo, Spain) in 100th at 19 over, and Carson Shultis (Sr., Fargo, N.D.) in 102nd at 22 over par.Â
