Warrensburg, Mo. -- Coming off a very good 2025-26 season, Minnesota Crookston men's golf tees off the 2026-27 season on Tuesday through Wednesday at The Mule, hosted by Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo.
Â
The tournament will take place at the Mules National Golf Club and will be a three-round, 54-hole tournament.
Â
The Golden Eagles have a bevy of talent returning from last year's squad that narrowly missed the Regional Tournament.
Â
Marc Bofarull Balleste (Sr., Barcelona, Spain), an NSIC All-Second team selection as a junior, is back in the fold and expected to be one of the best golfers in the Northern Sun. Jack Justesen (Jr., Hawley, Minn.) is also back for his second season in the program after transferring from Minnesota State.
Â
The big senior class also features Andrew Wilhelm (Sr., West Fargo, N.D.) and Connor Czirjak (Sr., Calgary, Alberta), both of whom are expected to make an impact in the lineup, as well. Ross Koerner (Jr., Grand Forks, N.D.) will have his brother Kolby Koerner (Fr., Grand Forks, N.D.) on the squad after a fantastic prep career at Grand Forks Red River.
Â
Section 8 prep standouts Brock Berhans (Fr., Detroit Lakes, Minn.) and Brody Johnson (Fr., East Grand Forks, Minn.) could card great scores early on, as could Sam Wells (Jr., St. Paul, Neb.), who is a transfer from Iowa Western Community College.
Â
There will be a battle for the top-five in the lineup this season for the Golden Eagles.
Â
The Golden Eagles were projected to finish sixth in the annual NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Â
The field at The Mule will be a challenging one, which includes: Upper Iowa, Central Missouri, Rogers State, Washburn, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Central Oklahoma, Iowa Western Community College, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Missouri Southern State, Missouri Western State, William Jewell College, Northeastern State, Rockhurst, Henderson State, Newman, Sioux Falls, Harding and Pittsburg State.
