CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston is proud to celebrate National Athletic Training Month. "Champions in Health Care" is the theme for the 2025 National Athletic Training Month, a time to recognize athletic trainers for their commitment to helping people prevent injuries and stay healthy and active. Athletic trainers are highly educated and dedicated to caring for patients in all walks of life, from athletic venues to clinics and physician offices to the military and performing arts.
In honor of National Athletic Training Month, the University of Minnesota Crookston would like to recognize our athletic trainers,
Steven Krouse,
Shelby Conard,
Matt Hobson,
Chris Huot, and
Becca Messick for their essential role in providing quality health care for our U of M Crookston student-athletes every day. Krouse is in his 11th season providing care at Minnesota Crookston, and is the Associate Athletic Director - Sports Medicine, Performance, & Wellness for the Golden Eagles. Conard is the associate head athletic trainer and is in her seventh season serving the Golden Eagle athletes. Hobson, Huot, and Messick are all in their first seasons at Minnesota Crookston in 2024-25.
