Chris Huot

Chris Huot started his career at UMC in the early spring of 2025. He works primarily with soccer, women’s basketball, and men’s golf.

Prior to UMC, Huot worked in various roles within the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine department of Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. He started as an athletic trainer covering various outreach events from 2021-2023 before taking on the role of Supervisor in 2023.

Prior to Altru, he was the athletic training program director at Presentation College from 2012-2020, serving as head athletic trainer from 2012-2014. Additionally, he provided game coverage for the Aberdeen Wings NAHL hockey team from 2012-2016.

Prior to Presentation College, Huot was the clinical coordinator and assistant professor at Minnesota State University Moorhead from 2004-2012. He assisted with the athletic teams as needed.

Huot was the director of athletic training services at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point from 1999-2004 and served as a lecturer.

He was an athletic trainer with the Midwest Sports Medicine Center, Kalamazoo Valley Community College and the Kalamazoo Kodiaks baseball team before his time in Wisconsin.

Huot earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Minnesota State University in 1996 and his Master of Arts in Physical Education with athletic training emphasis from Western Michigan University in 1998.

Huot is a BOC certified athletic trainer (ATC).

Huot is a Minnesota native and lives in Crookston, MN.
