CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian team is set to host their first NCEA meet as a program, as they bring in South Dakota State University Saturday, November 22 at 9 a.m. The meet will be Minnesota Crookston's lone home contest of the 2025-26 season.

Minnesota Crookston is 0-3 in single-discipline meets this season with a narrow loss to the University of Tennessee-Martin. Minnesota Crookston fell 13-6 to Delaware State, and 16-4 to South Dakota State. The Golden Eagles tied 5-5 but fell on aggregate score 746-703 to the University of the South (Sewanee).
The Golden Eagles have been led by ECAC October's Rider of the Month Emma Mutnansky (So., Cass Lake, Minn.). Mutnansky's best performance came with a 77 in Horsemanship at Delaware State. She scored a 76.5 at South Dakota State earlier this season.
In Fences, Minnesota Crookston has been led by an 82 against Sewanee from Julianne Lurie (Fr., Seminole, Fla.). Kristen Borchert's (Sr., Coon Rapids, Minn.) season high came with an 80 at South Dakota State. Ryann Mitchell (Fr., Camano Island, Wash.) posted a season high of 75 against Delaware State. Belle Syrett (Jr., Winnipeg, Manitoba) scored a pair of 76's in rides against South Dakota State, and Sewanee, and Maggie Lawler (Fr., Algonquin, Ill.) secured an 80 at South Dakota State.
In Flat, the Golden Eagles have looked to a season high of 86 from Belle Syrett. Lawler posted a pair of 85's against Delaware State, and Sewanee. Borchert notched a 79 against Sewanee, while Lawler had a 77 against the University of Tennessee-Martin.
In Horsemanship, Mutnansky has the season-high of 77 against Delaware State. McKenna Hooyer (Jr., Rock Rapids, Minn.), a South Dakota State transfer, tallied a season-high 74 versus Delaware State. Briana Thoeny (Fr., Ogilvie, Minn.) tallied a season-high 73 against Delaware State.
Hooyer has the season high in Reining with a tally of 68.5 against UT-Martin. Thoeny, Brooke Hoven, Allison Patron (Fr., Bend, Ore.), Hooyer, and Siara Mosby (So., Bremerton, Wash.) have all tallied 68's this season in Reining.
Saturday will also mark Senior Day for the Golden Eagles they will honor Seniors Isabella Abbas (Sr., Tea, S.D.), Borchert, Hoven, Kassidy Kalka (Sr., Cottage Grove, Minn.), Jenna Seibert (Sr., Sebeka, Minn.), Hailey Schlotfeldt (Sr., Luverne, N.D.), and Sophie Gustafson (Sr., Sleepy Eye, Minn.).
