Colfax, Wis. - The Golden Eagles continue their hot start to the season finishing 12th out of 36 teams at the BluGold Invitational. That is a new program record, finishing ahead of 24 teams. That surpasses their previous record of 20 and sets them up nicely before their final regular season meet next Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa at the Defender Classic.
The Golden Eagles had some incredible times today, with Morgan Shaw (Jr., Redmond, Ore.) leading the way with a time of 23:00 and placing 20th. Natalie Wood (R-So., Big Timber, Mont.) finished with a time of 23:34 and placed 42nd. Madison Hilliard (Sr., Jacksonville, N.C.) was next with a time of 23:47 and placed 58th. There were also three Golden Eagles with new personal records. Rivynn DiPadova (Fr., Soldiers Grove, Wis.) set her new personal time at 26:34, Amber Collins (Fr., Deer Creek, Minn.) set hers at 27:04, and Annelise Offerdahl (Fr., Circle Pines, Minn.) set her personal record at 28:35.
The Golden Eagles will have one last meet before the NSIC Championship. The Championship will take place October 24th in Wayne, Nebraska. So the Golden Eagles will get two weeks off following the Defender Classic.
