SIOUX CENTER, Iowa - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's cross country placed eighth of 17 teams at the Holiday Inn Express Classic at the Dordt Cross Country Course in Sioux Center, Iowa. Minnesota Crookston set their fastest 6K time in history with a mark of 23:04, their previous fastest was 23:43 at the NSIC Championship in 2024.
Morgan Shaw (Jr., Redmond, Ore.) set a new school record for the Golden Eagles in the 6K, clocking in at 22:11. Madison Hilliard (Sr., Jacksonville, N.C.) notched the previous fastest in 2024 at the NSIC Championship. Natalie Wood (R-So., Big Timber, Mont.) and Hillard also broke Hilliard's previous mark with times of 22:17 and 22:35. Shaw, Hilliard, and Wood set personal marks, as well. Shaw finished 28th, Wood 31st, and Hilliard 40th.
Caroline Kuehne finished in 23:31.39. Amber Collins (Fr., Deer Creek, Minn.) notched a personal record with a time of 24:47.50. Annelise Offerdahl (Fr., Circle Pines, Minn.) clocked in at 26:02.83 for a personal mark. Emma Williams (Jr., Nashwauk, Minn.) finished in 27:22.68.
The Golden Eagles defeated NSIC foes University of Sioux Falls, Southwest Minnesota State University, and Wayne State College. Minnesota State University won the race Saturday in Sioux Center. Bellevue University's Grace Steinmetz won the race with a time of 20:40.39.
