Crookston, Minn- The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team has officially announced their 2025 schedule. The Golden Eagles are coming off another successful year, with a 35-16 (28-10) record. The Golden Eagles will look to build from the recent success in previous years, with the return of some impact players both in the lineup, and on the mound. Josh Dykoff (Jr., RHP/DH, Wadena, Minn.), Sawyer Satrom (Sr., IF, Portland, N.D.), Danny Wensloff (R-Sr., OF/C, Roseau, Minn.), and Kobe Senn (R-Jr, IF, Fargo, N.D.) will look to anchor this years lineup. The Golden Eagles also return Nate Benning (So., LHP, Browerville, Minn.), Isaac Wensloff (Jr., RHP, Roseau, Minn.), and Nate Grafsgaard (R-Sr., RHP, Devils Lake, N.D.) who will lead the pitching staff.
Minnesota Crookston is scheduled to play 10 non-conference games and 40 conference games in the NSIC.
The Golden Eagles will open their season out west in Turlock, Calif., for a three game series starting on February 14 against Stanislaus State. They will then open up conference play with a neutral site series with Wayne State College, in Pueblo, Colo., February 21-23.
Minnesota Crookston will head to Florida and play seven games in ten days spanning from the dates of February 28 to March 9. Down in the Sunshine State, the Golden Eagles will take on a few new opponents for the first time in program history. The games against Davenport University, University of Tampa, and Assumption University will be the first meeting between the two schools. The U of M Crookston will play Davenport, Ashland, and Tampa in Tampa, Fla. They will face Northwood and Assumption in Auburndale, Fla., Rockhurst in Davenport, Fla., and Davis & Elkins in Winter Haven, Fla.
Minnesota Crookston will play another neutral-site NSIC series with a four-game stint against the University of Sioux Falls March 14-16 in Saint George, Kan.
Minnesota Crookston continues NSIC play on the road at Augustana University with a four-game slate March 21-23, which could prove to be pivotal in the conference standings with two teams highly ranked in the preseason poll.
The Golden Eagles will return home for a ten-game home stretch beginning March 28, as the Golden Bears from Concordia St. Paul will take the trip up north for a four game weekend series. Minnesota Crookston will then take on Winona State the following weekend for a four game series, which is then followed by a mid-week double header with Minot State on April 9.
To highlight the other home games, the Golden Eagles will be home April 18-19 for a three game series against Minnesota State, Mankato, April 23 for a mid-week double header against St. Cloud State, and May 2-3 to finish off the regular season against Northern State.
Minnesota Crookston will have road series April 12-13 at Southwest Minnesota State, April 15 at Bemidji State, April 26-27 at Minnesota Duluth, and April 29 at UMary.
The NSIC tournament is scheduled for May 7-10 in Sioux Falls, S.D. after being in Bismarck, N.D. and Mandan, N.D. the last couple years. The Golden Eagles have made the NSIC tournament seven times since 2016, including three of the last four years.
