Lake City, Minn. – Minnesota Crookston women's golf looks to continue their outstanding start to the season this Monday-Tuesday as they compete at the Watkins Invitational at the Jewel Golf Club in Lake City, Minn., hosted by Winona State.
After finishing second at the Tracy Lane Memorial in Bemidji, the Golden Eagles finished 7
th out of 11 teams at the Fall Brawl in Hudson, Wis., shooting their best round of the season (330) on the final 18 holes.
Anaka Lysne (Jr., Wahpeton, N.D.) continued her blistering start to the season. Lysne has two top-10 finishes on the season, including finishing in a tie for eighth this past weekend. Lysne shot a 76 on the second day, moving up almost 25 spots to finish in the top 10.
Clara Hanson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.) was also fantastic this past weekend, finishing in a tie for 15
th, including a career-low 77 in the first round.
Ainsley McLain (So., Grafton, N.D.),
Lauren Bowyer (Jr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) and
Libby Dulmage (So., Leeds, N.D.) all improved their scores on day two at the Fall Brawl.
The Watkins Invite will include another big field, including a number of NSIC schools and Minnesota Crookston: Concordia-St. Paul, Minot State, St. Catherine University, Sioux Falls, Minnesota State, Upper Iowa, Bemidji State, Winona State and MSU Moorhead.
