HUDSON, Wis. - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's golf team took seventh of 11 teams at The Fall Brawl at Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wis. The Golden Eagles carded a team score of 330. Minnesota Crookston improved their round one score by eight strokes. The 330 was the best round of the season for Minnesota Crookston, and tied for the ninth best round in program history.
Anaka Lysne (Jr., Wahpeton, Minn.) shot rounds of 84 and 76 to finish tied for eighth in the field. The 76 is the seventh-best round in program history. Lysne has placed in the top 10 of both tournaments this season, as she is off to a great start to the 2024-25 slate. Clara Hanson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.) placed tied for 15th after rounds of 77 and 87. Ainsley McLain (So., Grafton, N.D.) carded scores of 87 and 83. Lauren Bowyer (Jr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) shot rounds of 90 and 84. Libby Dulmage (So., Leeds, N.D.) carded scores of 96 and 91.
The Golden Eagles defeated Minot State University, Minnesota State University's B squad, Upper Iowa University, and Bemidji State University. Winona State University's Ellie Behring with rounds of 74 and 75.
They continue the season September 23 and 24 at the Watkins Invitational in Lake City, Minn.
