Hudson, Wis. – Clara Hanson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.) shot a career low 77 at round one of the Fall Brawl at the gorgeous Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wis., to put her in fourth place after the first 18 holes. Hanson's 77 is her lowest by a stroke, when she shot a 78 in March of 2022.
Hanson's outstanding day led the way for the Golden Eagles, who sit in ninth place with a 338 on the day.
Sioux Falls leads the way by nine strokes over Winona State and Wayne State College by 17 strokes. Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State round out the top-five.
Anaka Lysne (Jr., Wahpeton, N.D.) finished with an 84 on the day, putting the junior in a tie for 31
st.
Ainsley McLain (So., Grafton, N.D.) in a tie for 41
st.
Lauren Bowyer (Jr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) and
Libby Dulmage (So., Leeds, N.D.) shot a 90 and 97, respectively.
As a team, the Golden Eagles are in striking distance of the top-five, as they trail by just seven strokes to Minnesota State.
The final round of the Fall Brawl will take place tomorrow morning with a shotgun start at 10:30 A.M.
