Bemidji, Minn. – Following a historic second place finish at the Tracy Lane Memorial in Bemidji to open up the 2024 fall season, Minnesota Crookston women's golf will look to continue their strong start to the season this Monday and Tuesday at the Fall Brawl, hosted by Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State.
The Golden Eagles finished second place as a team at the Tracy Lane Memorial, their highest finish ever in a tournament of five or more teams.
At the same tournament a season ago, the Golden Eagles finished 7
th out of 10 teams. Minnesota State won the tournament, while St. Kate's and Winona State rounded out the top-three.
Anaka Lysne (Jr., Wahpeton, N.D.) continues to shatter the record books. Lysne placed second individually at the Tracy Lane Memorial, the highest ever by a Golden Eagle in a field of more than three teams. Lysne tied for the best round of day two, shooting a 78, catapulting into the top-10.
Ainsley McLain (So., Grafton, N.D.) placed in a tie for sixth, the highest finish in her Golden Eagle career.
Clara Hanson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.) shot an outstanding 82 in the final round of the tournament, boosting her individual finish to 10
th.
Lauren Bowyer (Jr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) and
Libby Dulmage (So., Leeds, N.D.) will round out the top-five this weekend in the lineup and they will look to continue their outstanding start to the year, finishing in the top-30 last week.
The tournament will be a shotgun start and will start at 10:30 A.M., each day.

Troy Burne Golf Club was rated as one of America's 100 Greatest Public Courses in Golf Digest from 2017-20. The course ranked 69th on the list in 2017-18. Troy Burne features four par-fives, nine par-fours and five par-threes.
The Par-71 women's course will see a number of NSIC foes, including: Concordia-St. Paul, Bemidji State, Minnesota State, Minot State, Sioux Falls, Southwest Minnesota State, Wayne State College and Winona State, as well as the Golden Eagles. Upper Iowa is in the field, as well.
