Mayetta, Kan. – Minnesota Crookston men's golf rounded out the Firekeeper Open in Mayetta, Kan., this afternoon with the final 18 holes. The Golden Eagles shot 309 as a team for the second straight round, finishing in 14
th place.
 
Central Missouri won the Open by shooting a 286 on the day and 845 through 54 holes. Missouri Southern State, West Texas A & M, Washburn and Fort Hays State round out the top-five.
 
Alex Gentry of Central Missouri won the tournament as an individual, shooting in the 60's for the third straight round.
 
Andrew Wilhelm (Fr., Fargo, N.D.) paced the Golden Eagles by finishing with a 76 for back-to-back rounds with that number. 
Lukas Justesen (Jr., Detroit Lakes, Minn.) and 
Connor Czirjak (Fr., Calgary, Alberta) shot a 78 and 79, respectively, on the day.
 
The Golden Eagles will be off for a week and then will compete at their biggest tournament of the year, the NSIC Championships. The Championships are April 19-21 in Blue Springs, Mo.
