Minnesota Crookston (7-21)
The Golden Eagles will look for some home cooking this weekend as they continue NSIC play. The Golden Eagles will look to halt a six game losing streak to the Cougars and a five game losing streak dating back to 2021 against the Huskies of St. Cloud State.

The Golden Eagles have been led offensively by Shaelyn Grant (Sr., C/OF, Grand Junction, Colo.) and her six home runs and freshman Rayna French (Fr., C, La Salle, Manitoba), who has a hit in 15 of her last 17 games. Paige Shwaluk (Sr., MIF, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba) leads the Golden Eagles with 20 runs scored and is eighth in the NSIC with her eight stolen bases. Sophie Juntunen (So., 1B, St. Michael, Minn.) leads the Golden Eagles with four doubles. As a team, the Golden Eagles hit .242.

In the circle, Thayda Houser (Sr., P, Seymour, Iowa) leads the Golden Eagles in starts with nine and has struck out 28 hitters on the season. Alexa Guilford (So., P, Crystal City, Manitoba) leads the team with 17 appearances, which also ranks third in the entire NSIC in terms of pitchers. Guilford has three wins on the season, all coming in Florida.

University of Sioux Falls (11-14)
The Cougars are 11-14 on the season and are 2-2 in the Northern Sun after getting swept by Minot State last Friday and sweeping the University of Mary on Saturday. The Cougars will head to Bemidji on Friday for a doubleheader with Bemidji State and then will play the Golden Eagles on Saturday.

Freshman Riley Schwisow has wasted no time getting acclimated to collegiate softball. The freshman from Beatrice, Neb., is fourth in the NSIC in on-base percentage and leads the conference in slugging percentage. Schwisow is also third in the NSIC in batting average at .438. Alannah Naumann, Megan Lawson and Hannah Fry are each hitting over .300 on the season, as well.

In the field, the Cougars have committed just 22 errors on 683 total attempts as a team and have the fourth best fielding percentage in the NSIC.

St. Cloud State (18-10)
SCSU will host a pair of doubleheaders this weekend against Wayne State College and Augustana before they make their way to Crookston next Tuesday. The Huskies are 18-10 overall and 1-1 in the NSIC with a split of Winona State last Friday.

The Huskies are led by their offense. SCSU ranks in the top half of the NSIC in a number of offensive categories, including No. 1 with 25 home runs and are second in stolen bases with 41. SCSU also has the best defense in the Northern Sun with a .978 fielding percentage. Reese Holhueter leads the NSIC with seven home runs on the season. Holly Weinberger and Bethany Weiss lead the Husky offense with a .352 and .338 batting average, respectively. Lydia Krueger leads her team with an on-base percentage of over .400, mainly due to the fact that she leads the nation being hit by pitch a whopping 17 times on the season.

In the circle, the Huskies are solid and have a team ERA of 3.31, which is seventh in the NSIC. SCSU is led in the circle by Justyce Porter, who has 22 appearances and just three starts. Porter leads the nation in saves with seven and is 8-2 on the season, with a 1.41 ERA. Emma Eickhoff has made 14 starts and is 5-5 on the season with a 3.75 ERA.
