Spring Hill, Kan. – After a lengthy delay to start the Capra Invitational in Kansas, Minnesota Crookston men's golf was able to get in the full two rounds on Monday and Tuesday and finish fourth in the 10 team field.
 
The Golden Eagles shot 25 over par in the opening round and improved that by two strokes in the second round, shooting 23 over to finish in fourth. The Golden Eagles finished two strokes ahead of old NSIC school, Upper Iowa, who finished in fifth.
 
Missouri Southern and Rockhurst 'A' team finished in a tie for first, while the University of Jamestown finished 11 strokes ahead of the Golden Eagles for third.
 
In the not great weather conditions, 
Lukas Justesen (Jr., Detroit Lakes) shot a 76 in both rounds to finish in a tie for 12
th place. 
Andrew Wilhelm (Fr., Fargo, N.D.) made it two Golden Eagles in the top-20, after finishing in 18
th place. 
Connor Czirjak (Fr., Calgary, Alberta) shot a 74 in the opening 18 holes and finished in a tie for 21
st, while 
Jayme French (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) finished in a tie for 26
th after shooting a 76 in the final round.
 
What's Next
Minnesota Crookston will be back in action next week for the NSIC Conference Preview on Monday and Tuesday in Blue Springs, Mo.
