CROOKSTON, Minn. - Alexandra Wentland (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Equestrian Rider of the Week for the week ending in September 29. Wentland is the first Golden Eagle to earn the accolade.

Wentland competed against South Carolina at Delaware State and versus Delaware State in the Equitation Over Fences and ended her weekend 2-0, winning both of her fences points. She defeated her seventh-ranked South Carolina opponent by a margin of nine points and won her match up against ninth-ranked DSU by a margin of three points.

Wentland earned the award for Fences. Olivia Brown of Delaware State picked up the accolade for Flat. Ashley Grasso of Delaware State earned the honor for Horsemanship, while Anna Payne of Delaware State received the accolade for Reining.
