Lake City, Minn. – Layton Bartley (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) and 
Jayme French (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) each placed in the top-20 at the Watkins Invitational, leading the Golden Eagles to 583, which is a top-five finish in program history.
 
The 291 shot in round two and 292 shot in round one are third and fourth all-time in school history for a team round, respectively.
 
Winona State and Sioux Falls finished in second, while Upper Iowa finished in third place. Bemidji State and Minnesota State finished in a tie for fourth with the Golden Eagles.
 
French paced the way in round two, shooting a 69, with four birdies on the day. The 69 was a career low for the junior and is tied for second in school history. Bartley shot a 75 and 70 on the day, while 
Andrew Wilhelm (Fr., Fargo, N.D.) shot a 75 and 74.
 
Minnesota Crookston will have a week off and then will head to St. Joseph, Mo., for a tournament hosted by Missouri Western State University.
