LINCOLN, Neb.- The University of Minnesota Crookston women's cross country team set a school record for a time in the 5K at 20:40. Their previous best came with a time of 21:13. Minnesota Crookston finished 17th of 20 teams at the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational at Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb.
Minnesota Crookston had seven runners set personal records in the race. The Golden Eagles were led by
Madison Hilliard (So., Jacksonville, N.C.), with a time of 19:25.55 for a school-record mark. Hilliard placed 48th.
Anna Grabowski (Jr., Waterdown, Ontario) clocked in at 20:04.56 for a 70th-place finish and a personal record.
Grace Alwardt (Fr., Lake Elsinore, Calif.) set a personal record of 20:39.09.
Emma Williams (Fr., Nashwauk, Minn.) notched a personal record of 21:16.60.
Evelyn Dupont (Fr., Las Vegas, Nev.) clocked in at 21:54.23 for a personal record.
Catie Neumann (Fr., Alexandria, Minn.) put up a time of 23:07.64 for a personal record. Katelynn Mack (Jr., Frazee, Minn.) set a personal record with a time of 23:59.78.
Alex Middendorf (Sr., Sauk Centre, Minn.) finished with a time of 25:34.12.
Winona State University's Lindsay Cunningham was the individual champion. Winona State University was the team champion.
Minnesota Crookston returns to September 22 at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn.
