CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women's golf program is set to commence their spring season Thursday, March 9 and Friday, March 10 at the SMSU Spring Challenge at Wigwam Resort Blue Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz.

The Golden Eagles had one of their strongest fall seasons in program history in the fall of 2022. Minnesota Crookston shot their lowest four rounds in program history with a 319 and 324 at the Tipsinah Mounds Invitational, a 338 at the Tracy Lane Memorial, and a 338 at the EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invitational. In addition, Anaka Lysne (Fr., Wahpeton, N.D.) shot the best two rounds in program history. She carded a 72 and a 74 at the Tipsinah Mounds Invitational.

Lysne leads the Golden Eagles with an average of 80.3 and two Top-10 finishes. Clara Hanson (So., Grand Forks, N.D.) is averaging 83.0. Abby Stender (R-Sr., Madison, Minn.) shot 85.0 in the fall. Lauren Bowyer (Fr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) tallied an average of 88.3. Tiffany Kozojed (Jr., Hillsboro, N.D.) averaged a 95.4. Denali Johnson (So., Grand Rapids, Minn.) notched an average of 97.6, while Ciera Kotaska (Jr., Thief River Falls, Minn.) notched a 103.0.
