Jamestown, N.D. - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's cross country team placed 7th out of 11 teams at the Jimmie Invitational Friday October 6 in Jamestown, N.D. in a race hosted by University of Jamestown. The Golden Eagles set a new 6k team record with an average time of 25:08, beating their previous time of 25:49 from the 2022 Regionals.
Madison Hilliard (So., Jacksonville, N.C.) led the way for the Golden Eagles with a final time of 23:51.3. Anna Grabowski (Jr., Waterdown, Ontario) set a new personal record finishing at 24:00.9. Grace Alwardt (Fr., Lake Elsinore, Calif.) finished with a time of 24:45.9, which was a personal record. Next up was Emma Williams (Fr., Nashwauk, Minn.) who set her personal record at 25:23.3. Catie Neumann (Fr., Alexandria, Minn.) finished with a personal record of 27:42.0. Katelyn Mack (Jr., Frazee, Minn.) finished the day with a personal record of 27:48.4. Alex Middendorf (Sr., Sauk Centre, Minn.) had a final time of 29:29.7
Augustana University was the winner of the team title. Northern State University's Megan Pickering was the individual winner at the Jimmie Invitational, with a final time of 22:27.3.
The Golden Eagles will get a week off before heading to Bismarck, N.D. for the NSIC Championships, on Saturday, October 21 at 10 a.m.
