Golden Eagle Women's Cross Country Posts Record Day at NSIC Championship

BISMARCK, N.D. - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's cross country team put forth their best race as a program in school history Saturday, October 21 at the NSIC Championship in Bismarck, N.D. The Golden Eagles had a record-high finish, placing 12th of 15 teams. Minnesota Crookston recorded their 6K team record with a time of 24:27, beating their previous record set at the Jamestown Invitational. Minnesota Crookston took over three minutes off their race time from 2022. 

The Golden Eagles beat Southwest Minnesota State University, St. Cloud State University, and Concordia University- St. Paul. 

Additionally, Anna Grabowski (Jr., Waterdown, Ontario) set a new school record and personal record in the 6K, with a time of 23:17. She finished 63rd. Madison Hilliard (So., Jacksonville, N.C.) posted a time of 23:28.50, for a personal record. Emma Williams (Fr., Nashwauk, Minn.) clocked in at 24:13.00, for a personal record. Grace Alwardt (Fr., Lake Elsinore, Calif.) posted a personal record with a time of 24:45.40. Katelyn Mack (Jr., Frazee, Minn.) set a personal record with a time of 26:31.10. Evelyn Dupont (Fr., Las Vegas, Nev.) posted a personal record with a time of 26:56.70. Catie Neumann (Fr., Alexandria, Minn.) notched a personal record with a time of 27:24.80. Alex Middendorf (Sr., Sauk Centre, Minn.) finished in 28:42.10.

Lindsay Cunningham of Winona State University was the individual champion with a time of 19:28.70. Winona State University won the team championship.

Minnesota Crookston competes Saturday, November 4 at 10 a.m., at the NCAA Central Region Championships in Joplin, Mo.
