Minnesota Crookston (7-8)
In their first time playing outside, the Golden Eagles finished 1-3 in Kansas, including a win against the Jets of Newman University and a one-run loss against Emporia State.

The Golden Eagles have had good performances by a trio of hitters this season. Alina Avalos (Jr., IF, Riverside, Calif.) is off to a blazing start this season, hitting .408 with a home run and 12 RBI's. The junior also has an OPS of over 1.000. Whitnee Curry (Fr., IF, Omaha, Neb.) is hitting .405 on the season and has a hit in all but three games this season. Jordan Peterson (R-Sr., UT, Lakeville, Minn.) is hitting .361 and has driven in 12 runs this season. As a team, the Golden Eagles hit .277.

In the circle, the maroon and gold have been led by youngster Evie Stuck (Fr., P/OF, Papillion, Neb.). The freshman is 5-2 in eight appearances and seven starts. The Nebraskan also has six complete games and an ERA of just 2.87. Stuck also leads the NSIC in innings pitched at 46.1. Kamryn Frisk (R-Sr., P/1B, Anchorage, AK) has also been good in over 22 innings of work and two starts.

Minot State (10-3)
The Beavers have not lost a step after clinching an NSIC playoff berth last season. Minot State is 10-3 this season, including a win over the Golden Eagles already this season.

One thing that has led the Beavers to success this season has been their balance up and down their lineup. Minot State has six hitters all hitting over .320 and all six have started in 10 or more games this season. Jamie Odlum leads the Beavers with a .553 average and nine extra base-hits, including six doubles, while also driving in 11 runs. Maggie Mercer and Kiera Shwaluk are each hitting over .400 on the season as well. After leading the nation in stolen bases in 2021, Minot State is back to their bag-stealing ways. The Beavers have already stolen 53 bases on 61 attempts, including a perfect 8 for 8 on stolen base attempts by Jazmin Karanungan.

The Beavers have one of the best pitching staffs in the entire conference. Their 2.70 ERA currently ranks sixth in the NSIC and have been led by Trinity Valentine and her 1.41 ERA, which is top-five. The Las Vegas native has 38 strikeouts in just 34.2 innings of work as well. Jazmine Blizzard, Zoya Robbins and Reegan Floyd have combined to make 13 appearances and each have an ERA of under 3.50.
