CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women's basketball team will host Bemidji State University Saturday, December 17 at 12 p.m. at Gary Senske Court at Lysaker Gymnasium. The game will be the second between the Golden Eagles and Beavers this season.
The Golden Eagles picked up a 69-64 win over Bemidji State Tuesday, November 22. The victory earlier this season snapped a six-game skid against the Beavers. Minnesota Crookston leads the series 22-21 since 2012.

· BACK-TO-BACK WINS AGAINST THE WOLVES. Minnesota Crookston picked up their second-straight win in the series with Northern State University with a 61-50 victory last Friday on the road against the Wolves. UMN Crookston has claimed four of the last five games in the series, with their only loss coming December 10, 2021.
· FANTASTIC SECOND QUARTER. Minnesota Crookston used a great second quarter to take down Northern State on Friday. UMN Crookston out-scored the Wolves 23-4 in the second stanza. The Golden Eagles defended the three well against the Wolves, as Northern State went 0-of-15 from beyond the arc. In addition, Minnesota Crookston hit 10 three-pointers, hitting at a 35.7 percent clip.
· MILLER TIME.
Emma Miller has been the key catalyst for the Golden Eagles through the first 11 games. The freshman is averaging 15.5 points per game to lead Minnesota Crookston. She might be short of stature at 5-1, but Miller is a playmaker. She is coming off a 27.5 point average in two games last weekend, including a career-high 32 points in a win over Northern State. Miller is shooting at a 42.6 percent clip. Miller is shooting 38.2 percent from beyond the arc this season. She is also averaging 4.5 rebounds per game, and leads the team with 35 assists.
· TURN THE PAGE. Sophomore
Alex Page, a Grand Forks-native, comes into the weekend averaging 7.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. Page is shooting 43.1 percent from the field. She had a season-high 13 points last Saturday against MSU Moorhead. Page will look to make an impact in the final two games before Christmas.
· TARYN IT UP. Freshman
Taryn Frazer, a Cass Lake, Minn., native, has jumped right on to the scene for the Golden Eagles. Frazer comes into the weekend notching 7.0 points per game. Frazer is shooting 34.4 percent from behind the three-point line this season. Frazer had a season-high 25 points versus Palm Beach Atlantic during the team's Florida trip.
• CAN'T OUT FOX HER.
Bren Fox has been a staple for Minnesota Crookston over the last five seasons. In her career, Fox has 671 points and 577 rebounds. Fox is fifth all-time in career rebounds for the Golden Eagles. She needs just 25 rebounds to surpass Emily Gruber for fourth all-time in the Minnesota Crookston record books. Fox is 113 rebounds away from tying Laurie Tyson for third. She is 115 rebounds from Katrina (Moenkedick) Nordick in second and is 198 rebounds away from Isieoma Odor at the top of the charts. Fox is notching 7.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game for Minnesota Crookston this season. She has had two double-doubles this season.
• DON'T HURT US FROM DEEP. Minnesota Crookston continues to prevent opponents from shooting the long ball well. The Golden Eagles are holding foes to just 27.4 percent from beyond the arc this season. Teams are just averaging 5.4 three-pointers per game. Minnesota Crookston held MSU Moorhead to 23.5 percent last weekend. Against St. Cloud State on December 3, the Huskies shot just 29.4 percent from beyond the arc.
• SEARCHING FOR A HOME WIN. The Golden Eagles are seeking their first home wins of the season this weekend as they host Bemidji State. Minnesota Crookston's last win at home over Bemidji State came December 30, 2018 with a 73-63 victory for the Golden Eagles.
• BEMIDJI STATE. Bemidji State enters Saturday's game with a 3-6 (0-5 NSIC) mark. The Beavers are currently on a five-game losing streak. Bemidji State is averaging 57.9 points per game, while allowing 66.3 points per tilt to their foes. The Beavers are shooting 36.2 percent from the field, and 30.7 percent from deep. Teams are out-rebounding Bemidji State 41.2-37.1.
• GIVE IT TO TRINITY. Trinity Yoder has been a staple for Bemidji State over the last five years. Yoder leads the Beavers, averaging 15.0 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Yoder is shooting 42.9 percent from beyond the arc. She had a season-high 30 points against Mayville State University.
• SAM ON THE GLASS. Sam Pogatchnik has been the top rebounder for Bemidji State this season. She comes in averaging 7.4 rebounds per tilt to go with 8.9 points per game. Pogatchnik has recorded a pair of double-doubles this season.
• WATCH OUT FOR SCHIRES. Maddie Schires is in her second season with Bemidji State after transferring from Division I Youngstown State University. Schires comes in averaging 9.8 points per game. She is shooting 33.3 percent from beyond the arc.
