Burnsville, Minn. -- The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced earlier today that 874 student-athletes have earned NSIC All-Academic honors for the 2025-26 winter athletic season.
552 student-athletes were named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, while 322 earned NSIC All-Academic Team honors.
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
A total of 10 Minnesota Crookston student-athletes are on the prestigious list.
Cuinn Berger (Sr., G, Esko, Minn.), Caiden Swenby (So., G, Fertile, Minn.) and Brayden Carlson (So., C, Woodbury, Minn.) each made the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence for men's basketball. Hunter Lorenson (So., G, Lake City, Minn.) and Landon Dimler (So., F, Mankato, Minn.) made the NSIC All-Academic Team.
On the women's side, the Golden Eagles also had five student-athletes on the list. Brynlea Mahlen (So., G, Fosston, Minn.), Natalie Mikrot (Sr., G, Willow River, Minn.), Rayna Klejeski (Jr., Barnum, Minn.) and Halle Winjum (So., Crookston, Minn.) each made the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. Riley Jenkins (Sr., G, Galesburg, Ill.) made the NSIC All-Academic Team.
