Crookston, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston men's golf team and head coach
Brad Heppner announced the signing of Canadian standout Connor Czirjak (Calgary, Alberta) to their recruiting class.
Czirjak becomes the second signee of the class of 2023, joining Andrew Wilhelm (Fargo, N.D.), who signed with the Golden Eagles earlier this month.
The Golden Eagles had a successful 2022 fall season and will look to continue that in the spring. Minnesota Crookston finished second out of 11 teams at the Bemidji State Invite, tied for sixth out of 14
th at the NCAA/Central Region Preview and fifth out of 12 teams at the Washburn Invitational.
Minnesota Crookston brings back a nice core next season.
Devin Kucy (So., Camrose, Alberta),
Rory Wutzke (So., Camrose, Alberta) and
Layton Bartley (So., Fargo, N.D.) are all expected back next season.
The student-athletes listed as having signed a National Letter of Intent or Offer of Admission to play men's golf at the University of Minnesota Crookston have been verified by the Minnesota Crookston compliance office once they sign the National Letter of Intent or once the student-athlete has accepted an Offer of Admission for Minnesota Crookston.
Connor Czirjak (Alberta, Canada)
Czirjak will become the fourth Golden Eagle that hails from Canada, joining Kucy, Wutzke and
Ethan Howes. Czirjak was given the High School Mountaineer Award.
Connor went to the Edge School and plans to major in Business while at the University of Minnesota Crookston.
