Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Minnesota Crookston outscored Palm Beach Atlantic, 12-6, in the overtime period, to wrap-up their Florida trip with a 83-77 win.
Taryn Frazer (Fr., G, Cass Lake, Minn.) led the way with a career-high 25 points on 6-9 shooting from three, also a career best.
Emma Miller (Fr., G, Albertville, Minn.) also tallied 20 points, seven rebounds and a career-high six assists.
Both teams would trade baskets early on in the game before Frazer would bury her first three and
Bren Fox (R-Sr., C, Norwood Young America, Minn.) would finish a layup for an 11-6 lead.
The Sailfish would take a 16-12 lead, but a Miller three would cut into the lead. After PBA would bury a three,
Abigail Leach (Jr., G, Wyoming, Minn.) would cash in on a three of her own, to tie the game at 22 after the first ten minutes.
The Golden Eagles would start to gain a little separation in the second quarter. Back-to-back three's from Frazer would give the Golden Eagles a 31-26 lead through the first three minutes of the quarter.
A late Leach three would tie the game up at 40, but the Sailfish would connect on a three with 14 seconds left to go into the halftime break up by three.
A quick 8-0 scamper on a pair of three's from Miller and
Erika Lane (So., G, Breezy Point, Minn.) after the halftime break would put the Golden Eagles up 48-43 early in the third quarter.
Minnesota Crookston would maintain a one point lead heading into the final ten minutes.
Turns out, it wouldn't be the final ten minutes. Minnesota Crookston would lead by seven midway through the fourth quarter, but the Sailfish would tie the game up at 71 at the end of regulation.
In their first overtime game of the season, it would be all Golden Eagles. Frazer would score seven of the team's 12 points in the overtime period, propelling her squad to the seven point victory.
Aside from the outstanding play of freshmen Frazer and Miller, Fox added nine points and nine rebounds, while
Nicole Hernandez (Jr., C, Oak Creek, Wis.) finished with eight points, a career-high with both13 rebounds and six blocks. Lane tallied seven points, while Leach and
Alex Page (So., F, Grand Forks, N.D.) each finished with six.
The Golden Eagles finished with a season best 12 makes from deep and outrebounded Palm Beach Atlantic, 52-42.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Thursday night, as they head to Duluth for an NSIC game with Minnesota Duluth. Tip-off is set for 5:30 P.M., from Romano Gymnasium.
