Fargo, N.D. – The Minnesota Crookston Equestrian-Western team competes Friday through Sunday at North Dakota State for a three-day meet.
This weekend will be the first time competing for the Western Team since October 22-23, where they had a number of solid finishers at their first home meet of the season in late October.
In that home meet,
Rebecca Clark (Sr., Austin, Minn.) placed first in Level 11 Horsemanship on the first day at their home meet.
Olivia Becker (Sr., Deer Park, Wis.) and
Zoey Haas (Jr., Farmington, Minn.) each placed second place in Open Reining and Level I Horsemanship, respectively for the Golden Eagles. In her first IHSA meet,
Hannah Heins (Fr., Rochester, Minn.) finished third in Level I Horsemanship.
On day two of their last meet that was held at home, the Golden Eagles showed improvement. The Golden Eagles had three first-place finishes to wrap-up their previous meet.
Eliza Freund (So., Cando, N.D.) took first place in Rookie B sportsmanship, while
Grace Meyers (Sr., Fairmont, Minn.) also placed first in her class of Rookie B Horsemanship. In the second meet of her career, Jenna Siebert (Fr., Sebeka, Minn.) finished in first in Beginner Horsemanship.
The Golden Eagles will look to continue that success this weekend.
We will have a write-up on the three day meet on Sunday following the meet in Fargo, N.D.
