The Golden Eagles are coming off of a tough weekend at home, getting swept on Friday afternoon against the University of Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday. The Golden Eagles will look to get back into the win column this Tuesday against UMD.
Freshman

Leah Macias (Jr., OF, West Covina, Calif.) and
Sarah Velasquez (Fr., OF, Chino, Calif.) are each hitting over .300 this season for the Golden Eagles.
Rachel Jones (Fr., UT, Fort Collins, Colo.) and

Dana Zarn (So., IF, Winnipeg, Manitoba) leads the team with a .361 averaged and 22 hits.
This past weekend, the Golden Eagles were fairly thin in the circle, but still managed to get some good appearances from
Kamryn Frisk (Sr., P/1B, Anchorage, AK) to keep them in the games this weekend.
Katie Humhej (Sr., P, Surrey, British Columbia) is currently seventh in the NSIC with 67 strikeouts, ninth in innings pitched with 55.2 and eighth in opponent batting average at .238.

Minnesota Duluth
Traditionally one of the better teams in the NSIC, the Bulldogs have continued that success through 20 games this season, sitting at 14-6 on the season. The Bulldogs are looking to rebound after getting swept at the hands of the defending National Champions, Augustana University, this past weekend.
The Bulldogs are led by one of the best hitters in the conference in Lauren Oberle. The fifth-year senior is currently hitting .419 on the season with 29 runs scored, 26 hits, five home runs and 12 RBI's. Oberle is an extremely dangerous hitter once she steps in the box. Jordyn Thomas and Jessica Bren each have more than 20 hits on the season. The Bulldogs currently lead the conference in home runs hit, sending 27 balls over the fence this season.
Much like the Golden Eagles, the Bulldogs have a really good 1-2 punch in the circle. Sam Pederson and Lauren Dixon have combined to make 14 starts on the season and have combined for eight combined games. Dixon leads the team with 55.1 innings pitched and 62 strikeouts and two shutouts on the season. The Bulldogs are currently sixth in the conference, combining for a 3.22 team ERA.
