CROOKSTON, Minn.-  The University of Minnesota Crookston tennis team will wrap up their 2015 season Fri., April 17 at 6 p.m. with a match against University of North Dakota at Choice Health & Fitness in Grand Forks, N.D. The Golden Eagles are wrapping up their first season under Head Coach Ryan McGuigan, a former men's tennis player at UND.

The Golden Eagles are 0-15 on the season but have shown improvement throughout the season. UMC has been led by Catherine Brown (Jr., Powell Butte, Ore./Animal Science), who is 5-10 on the season at the No. 1 singles position. Brown and Whitney Erickson (Fr., Spring Valley, Minn./Early Childhood Education) own a 2-12 mark at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 singles, Erickson has posted a 2-13 mark on the season.

North Dakota is 9-12 on the 2015 season. They are coached by Tom Wynne and assisted by former UMC head coach Kyle Anderson. UND has been led at No. 1 singles by Callie Ronkowski, who is 6-13. At the No. 2 slot, Lacey Sprinkel comes in with an 8-11 mark overall. In doubles, Sprinkel and Ronkowski are 9-10 at the No. 1 spot.
