Bemidji, Minn. - Golden Eagle Tennis dominated their first game in Bemidji this weekend, defeating Bemidji State University 6-1. This moves the Golden Eagles to 2-3 in conference play this season.
In doubles, the Golden Eagles earned the point, with Daniela de Lucas Rivera (Jr., Madrid, Spain) and Terez Drasilova (Fr., Naples, Fla.) winning 6-2, Asli Oktay (So., Istanbul, Turkey) losing 6-2, and Kavya Singh (Sr., Agra, India) and Nadia Cases Mundet (Jr., Barcelona, Spain) winning 6-3.
In singles, Daniela de Lucas Rivera won 6-4 and 6-0, Asli Oktay lost 6-4 and 7-5, Nadia Cases Mundet won 6-0 and 6-3, Terez Drasilova won 6-1 and 6-0, Ariadna Solis Guals (Jr., Santpedor, Spain) won both sets 6-3, and Kavya Singh won 6-4 and 7-6.
The Golden Eagles will look to improve their conference record to 3-3 as they are set to play the University of Minnesota Duluth tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. in Bemidji.
