(Crookston, Minn.)- Upper Iowa University defeated the University of Minnesota, Crookston 9-0 tonight in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Tennis match at Gold's Gym in Sartell, Minn. It was the season opener for the Golden Eagles who fall to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in the NSIC and the spring season opener for the Peacocks who improve to 3-1 overall (2-1 in the fall) and 1-0 in the NSIC.

U of M, Crookston returns to NSIC action on Friday, February 10 when they travel to Fargo, N.D. to face Minnesota State University Moorhead at Courts Plus. Matches begin at 5:30 p.m.
