Orlando, Fla. - Golden Eagle Tennis wrapped up their trip to Florida this morning with a 6-1 win over the Bryn Mawr College Owls. This is a huge win for the Golden Eagles, as they will now look to take this momentum into their final six games, which will all be conference games.
The Golden Eagles went 2-1 in doubles this morning, with Daniela de Lucas Rivera (Jr., Madrid, Spain) and Terez Drasilova (Fr., Naples, Fla.) winning 6-3, Kavya Singh (Sr., Agra, India) and Nadia Cases Mundet (Jr., Barcelona, Spain) winning 6-1, and Ariadna Solis Guals (Jr., Santpedor, Spain) and Abril Manas Hernandez (So., Barcelona, Spain) losing 6-2.
In singles, the Golden Eagles went 5-1. Daniela de Lucas Rivera won 6-2 and 6-4, Nadia Cases Mundet won 6-0 and 6-3, Ariadna Solis Guals lost 7-6 before winning 6-3 and 11-9, Kavya Singh won 6-4 and 6-1, Abril Manas Hernandez won both sets 6-1, and Katie VanPelt (So., Austin, Minn.) lost both sets 6-3.
The Golden Eagles will be off for 11 days before they head to Bemidji to take on Bemidji State University and the University of Minnesota Duluth on March 20th and 21st.
