Marc Bofarull Balleste Sits In Second Place After First 18 at NSIC Preview; Minnesota Crookston Tied for Sixth

Smithville, Mo. -- Marc Bofarull Balleste (Jr., Barcelona, Spain) shot an even 70 on Monday at the NSIC Conference Preview, pacing the Golden Eagles to a tie for sixth through the first 18 holes.

 

Bofarull Balleste sits in a tie for second with Karson Patten of Minnesota State and sits one shot behind Freddie Muggeridge of Southwestern Community College for first as an individual.

 

Winona State, Augustana and Concordia-St. Paul sit in the top three, with the Warriors leading the field by at least five strokes. The Golden Eagles are in a three way tie with Upper Iowa and Rockhurst, shooting 16 over par.

 

Andrew Wilhelm (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) shot three over 75 on the day and sits in a tie for 22nd, alongside Holdyn Evjen (So., Hermantown, Minn.), who is playing individually. Both shot three over par on the day.

 

Three Golden Eagles sit in a tie for 57th through the first 18 holes. Gannon Walsh (Sr., Belgrade, Minn.), Ross Koerner (So., Grand Forks, N.D.) and Jaime Martinez Guimon (Fr., Getxo, Spain) each shot seven over par.

 

The Golden Eagles sit a stroke ahead of Minnesota State heading into the final round.
