Crookston, Minn. -- Minnesota Duluth had five scorers in double-figures and used an 11 point halftime lead to propel the Bulldogs to a 17 point win on Tuesday night in Crookston, 95-78.

After being named National Player of the Week, Spencer Swenson (Fr., F, Sauk Rapids, Minn.) picked up where he left off, scoring the first five points of the game for an early 5-2 lead.
In the first half, it would be the Swenson and Alijah Washington (R-Jr., G, San Jose, Calif.) show, as they would combine for 26 of the 31 points for the Golden Eagles. Washington would start early with a straightaway three for a 10-6 lead.
UMD would answer with a 9-0 run, but Washington would score five straight to cut the Bulldogs lead to 20-15.
The Bulldogs would take a 30-17 lead, but Swenson would score eight in a row and chip into the lead to make it a seven point deficit at 32-25.
UMD would lead by 11 heading into the halftime break.
The second half would turn out to be all Bulldogs, who would lead by as much as 31 in the second half to cruise to the 17 point win.
Swenson continued his torrid stretch, finishing with 23 points and seven rebounds, while dishing out four assists. Washington finished with 19 points and four rebounds. J.D. Roberts (Jr., F, Parkville, Mo.) and Brady Westphal (Fr., G, West Fargo, N.D.) each added eight points.
