2025-26 (Freshman): Westphal played in 17 games this season with four starts, totaling 181 minutes. He scored 81 points on the season, shooting .351 from the field and .338 from three. He also contributed with 18 rebounds and 5 steals.

Prior to Minnesota Crookston: Westphal is familiar with the Golden Eagle men's basketball program. His brother, Zach, played a large role for the Golden Eagles off the bench from 2018-2022. As a junior, Westphal finished with 14.6 points per game and shot 81.6 percent from the free throw line. Was also one of the best three-point shooters in the state, finishing with 2.33 makes from deep per game. Westphal was a team captain as a junior, as well.
 
Westphal is the son of Molly and Jason Westphal of West Fargo. Brady plans to major in Criminal Justice while at the University of Minnesota Crookston.
