CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston tennis team announced the signing of two student-athletes for their 2026 signing class. The Golden Eagles added Nahomy Alarcon (Bogota, Colombia/Calvert Preparatory School) and Kyllie Fettig (Minot, N.D./Our Redeemer's Christian School).
"We are excited to welcome both Kyllie & Nahomy to the Golden Eagle tennis family this fall 2026," said Head Coach Josh Lunak. "They are both extremely hard working individuals who have a strong passion for the game of tennis. Their team first mentality will fit well with our program. They both plan to major in a business area and will be great fits for our university."
Coach Lunak has continued to elevate the Minnesota Crookston tennis program, as they are coming off back-to-back NSIC Tournament appearances for the first time in program history. The Golden Eagles have a combined record of 17-14 in the last two seasons. Minnesota Crookston is led by Daniela de Lucas Rivera (Jr., Madrid, Spain), a back-to-back All-NSIC Second Team selection in singles.
Fettig and Alarcon continue the focus for the Golden Eagles to find regional and international talent. Alarcon, a Colombia native, adds to a phenomenal international presence currently including seven international student-athletes with tennis players from Spain, India, Turkey, and Czech Republic. Fettig, a Minot, N.D., native helps the Golden Eagles continue their tradition of finding regional talent in neighboring states or within the state of Minnesota. They currently have Abby and Katie VanPelt from Austin, Minn., on the roster.
The signees who are reported in this release either signed an Athletic Aid Agreement or an Institutional Declaration of Intent (IDI). All signees released by the University of Minnesota Crookston have been verified by the compliance office that all documents have been properly signed and dated, and have been authorized for release.
