Crookston, Minn. – Lukas Justesen was recently named as the NSIC Men's Golfer of the Week for week 11 of the NSIC Golf Season.
The weekly award for the senior is the first in his career and the first weekly award for a Golden Eagle golfer since 2022, when Connor Humble took home weekly honors.
Justesen finished in a tie for sixth in the 100 player field on Monday and Tuesday at the FHSU Tiger Classic, helping the Golden Eagles finish in the top half of the 18 team field. Justesen shot 70 over the final two rounds of the tournament, while also finishing with seven birdies over 36 holes.
The sixth place finish for Justesen is the highest of his career.
The reigning Golfer of the Week and his Golden Eagles will head back to Kansas next weekend, as they compete in the Firekeeper Open, hosted by Washburn.
