Grand Forks, N.D. - The Golden Eagles are heading to the NSIC Tournament thanks to a huge win over the Marauders. They will finish out the regular season tomorrow when they face Minnesota State University, Moorhead.
In doubles, Daniela de Lucas Rivera (So., Madrid, Spain) and Ariadna Solis Guals (So., Santpedor, Spain) fell 6-2, Blaike Zander (Sr., Bismarck, N.D.) and Asli Oktay (Fr., Istanbul, Turkey) lost 6-2, and Nadia Cases Cases Mundet (So., Barcelona, Spain) and Kavya Singh (Jr., Agra, India) won 6-2.
In singles, de Lucas Rivera took down one of the top NSIC players, Chloe Chong Zhi Jang, 6-2 in both sets. Oktay lost her first set 6-2, won 7-5, and lost 6-3, Cases Mundet lost 6-1 before storming back and winning 6-4 and 6-3, Solis Guals won 7-5 and 6-4, Zander won 6-1, 6-4 in both sets, and Singh won 6-3 and 6-2.
The Golden Eagles are back at it against the Dragons tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
