The Golden Eagles have shown consistency throughout the year. After a successful fall season that featured three top-five finishes, including a runner-up finish at the CSP/MSU Fall Brawl and third place at the USF Invitational, they've carried that momentum into spring with three top-10 team finishes.
Leading the charge are Lukas Justesen (Sr., Detroit Lakes, Minn.), Andrew Wilhelm (So., Fargo, N.D.), and Marc Bofarull Balleste (So., Barcelona, Spain), all averaging under 75 strokes per round. Justesen recently earned NSIC Men's Golfer of the Week honors (Week 11) after a standout performance at the FHSU Tiger Classic, where he placed sixth out of 100 competitors. He fired back-to-back rounds of 70 and carded seven birdies over 36 holes, marking the best finish of his collegiate career. He currently ranks 61st in the Central Region.
Minnesota Crookston enters the championship ranked 106th nationally and 16th in the Central Region, with a team scoring average of 295.9, fourth-best in the NSIC.
The NSIC Championship will feature a competitive field, including conference powerhouses like Winona State (ranked 6th in the region) and Concordia-St. Paul (ranked 8th), along with Bemidji State, Augustana, Minnesota State, Minot State, Sioux Falls, and the University of Mary.
