CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston trap team opened the spring season last week and they are second of five teams in 1A-Conference 6 with 636 points. They are behind only Southwest Wisconsin Technical College with 769.5 points. Codey Wolff (Jr., Wadena, Minn.) is in a tie for ninth in all of the USA College Clay Target League after week one with a 24.5 average. Wolff also shot a 25-straight in the first week, and is first among male shooters in 1A-Conference 6.

Ethan Benedict (Jr., Maple Grove, Minn.) is tied for fifth among males in the conference with an average of 23.0. Braxton Qual (So., Mahnomen, Minn.) and Louis Siegel (Jr., Anoka, Minn.) are tied for 10th among male competitors in the conference. Heather Kaup (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) is third among female shooters in the conference with a 23.5 average. Sydney Huwe (Sr., Carver, Minn.) is fourth in the conference with a 23.0 average. Ellen Payne (Sr., St. Louis Park, Minn.) sits in sixth with a 22.5 average. Payton Homme (So., Goodridge, Minn.), Gracie Lunsetter, and Olivia Monger (Fr., Orono, Minn.) are tied for seventh with a 22.0 average.

Kaup is fifth in the entire USA College Clay Target League for females with her 23.5 average.

In addition, Eli Devore (Fr., Park Rapids, Minn.) hit 44-of-50 targets. Mallory Kowalke (So., Nevis, Minn.) connected on 44-of-50 targets, as did Kallen Littler (Fr., Bemidji, Minn.). Gracie Lunsetter (Sr., Gatzke, Minn.) went 44-of-50. Chase Nelson (So., Red Lake Falls, Minn.) was 42-of-50, while Rebecca Morstad (Fr., Cavalier, N.D.) connected on 41-of-50.
